New Patient Special
“Every patient wants to feel "special" and you have treated me that way with what I know to be knowledgeable and exceptional care. You are indeed one of a very, and all too rare, few talented perfectionist and dedicated doctors, with an oceanic depth of concern for each and every patient.” - Ann

WHY I DO WHAT I DO AS A DENTIST.

When I was growing up I remember my grandparents, whom I loved dearly, having constant dental problems and emergencies which caused them significant discomfort and inconvenience. When I was in college I remember my grandparents being retired and having very little extra money. I recall that they took a significant portion of their life savings to “fix their teeth” and then seemingly only a couple of years later losing their teeth despite this investment and having to wear dentures. Since that time as a dental student, as a graduate dentist in the Navy, and then in private practice I saw people coming to me as new patients telling me how they had spent large amounts of time and money on dental care over their lifetime with the work failing within 5 to 10 years or even less time. I also observed restorative care that had lasted seemingly forever and I even saw people with a great deal of dental restorative work that not only had lasted, but with no signs of new decay or gum disease. I could see the difference in the work and care and wanted to know exactly what it would take to insure that everyone and anyone could have dental care that would last indefinitely and stay healthy without ever having new decay or gum disease. I had always believed in doing things right and I went into dentistry as a profession with the main reason being that I wanted to help people. Taking into consideration what I had learned from my observations and experiences I decided quite early in my career that not only would I continue to emphasize high quality dental care coupled with good preventive dentistry, but that I would dedicate myself to finding the answers, solutions, and the technology required to deliver dental restorative and cosmetic care that could last a lifetime and preventive dental care that was so easy, practical, and straightforward that anyone and everyone who allowed me to help them could have healthy teeth and gums with no new dental disease for the rest of their life. took a significant portion of their life savings to “fix their teeth” and then seemingly only a couple of years later losing their teeth despite this investment and having to wear dentures.
